The Jharkhand Academic Council started functioning in a rented house in Rameshwaram where previously the Jharkhand Intermediate Council functioned, and the Secondary portion continued to function in Zila School Ranchi campus. The search for suitable accommodation for JAC continued unabated till at last the Council was housed in a portion of the Birsadih Club on rent. Under the dynamic leadership of the State Govt. all the branches of education Secondary, Intermediate Sanskrit (Madhyama) and Madrasa wer brought under the single umbrella of Jharkhand Academic Council with the sole intention that all the branches of learning got equitable and unified attention so that they may grow into mighty oaks and no branch gets etiolated and languished in cold shade of neglect.
Another leap forward was taken when the CBSE curriculum was introduced from the primary stage to the Intermediate stage to enable our students to partake in the main current of the national education-programme freely and naturally. The CBSE has been kind enough to recognise all our examinations and to issue a no-objection certificate in regard to implementation of the CBSE curriculum Even the COBSE granted recognition to the examinations conducted by the Council and as a result of this other Boards / Councils in India have started recognising our Examinations.
In order that our teachers do not have any difficulty in teaching CBSE courses, some Orientation Courses and Workshops were conducted in collaboration with some eminent publishers.
It is a matter of pleasure that the State Govt. allotted 4. acres of land in the vicinity of the Project School, Bargaona in Namkum block and the foundation stone was laid by Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri Arjun Munda on 2.9.2004. The matter of appointment of Architect is under active consideration.
