LUCKNOW: Office bearers of Shiksha Sangharsha Sanyukt Morcha, an organisation of managers of private schools/colleges and madrassas is organising 'Save education conference' at Mumtaz PG College, Daliganj on November 20 to deliberate over Right to Education Act, 2009 and suggest necessary amendments in the Act for the consideration of the government.
Convener of the conference Mohd Zameer said that it is being explained by the government that the main objective of the Right to Education Act, 2009 is to give free education to children of 6 years to 14 years, but the restrictions imposed by the provisions of this Act have created a fear in the minds of managers of private schools and madrassas that the Act might encroach the working of private schools. He said that the rules framed under the Act have proved that the recognition given to about one lakh private schools in the state would automatically come to an end.
