Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test 2012 (SET 2012) for Lectureship October 2012 has been conducted by Bharathiar University, Coimbatore on 07th October, 2012. As per the University General Guidelines Bharathiar University will not give any permission for re-evaluation of papers and will not issue any mark sheet to qualified/non qualified candidates.

The SET 2012 answer key is hereby released for the paper - I (common for all subjects). In order to conduct the SET2012 exam in a systematic way, the booklets have been shuffled with different questions and answers. Hence, the candidates who have taken the SET 2012 exams are advised to verify their respective answer keys as follows for Paper-I. Candidates whose OMR sheets ending with the digits 1 or 6 are advised to verify the answer keys in ‘A’ Set of kets. Similarly OMR sheets ending with the digits 2 or 7 ‘B’Set , 3 or 8 candidates with ‘C’ Set, 4 or 9 candidates with ‘D’ Set and 5 or 0 candidates with ‘E’ set.

I cleared SET in general category.Actually i applied wrongly as General. I belong to MBC. I dont know actually i should apply for OBC. There is no such provision for BC/MBC/DNC. I sent a mail to SET committee. There is no reply. what i can do now? Pls suggest.

it is injustice of published result. i scored 58 in Ist and 68 in IInd and 92 in III, totally 216 (61.73 %) in social work subject. the result says not qualified. basic thing is i just crossed to 60 % cut off that was fixed by UGC latest. again one criteria passed out for only Dec 2012 net exam. But the Bharathiyar university invariably changes its decision would affect many of the brights. so i on behalf of forum move to court. the affected ones joins with see_madurai@yahoo.co.in. phone no 8695554260. for ascertains the denied justice.

Please some youngsters should rise this issue to our honorable CM. our CM definitely consider this. its not about life of those 1000 professors, its about the students life for 30 years. everyone knows that its not fair. why dont TV channels dont talk about this. They have clearly followed the norms for all category and for all subjects.I have appeared for NET exam 6 times and also SET exam twice .This is the only time the exam is held with much transparency.

I cleared SET 2012 (Comp Sci). Those who are passed got the proforma (By Post) for certificate verification and filledin proforma along with the photo copies of X, XII, UG, PG, OBC certificates should be submitted on or before 23rd Feb 2013. But Still now I didn't get that proforma (By Post) from Bharathiar university. Strike is also going on 20th and 21st. What can i do? To Whom I've to contact regarding this? Please help.........

hi, i m a MSc biotechnology final year student, and cleared set exam with a score of 234. can anybody tell me what to do next, as i am very confused now whether to do phd or to wait for a lecture job....and i also have a doubt regarding the payscale, whether they will call us for counselling or will directly appoint us in any one of the colleges in tamil nadu....seriously i am damn confused.... plaese clear my doubts
I have scored Paper I: 70, Paper II: 42, Paper III: 74; Total 186 marks. So Minimum
Eligibility marks fixed in each paper is obtained.
OBC category. But I have not achieved presently fixed cutoffs 188 marks.Hence

Hi first you choose your carrier now you are eligible for Lectureship but you are a fresher now so if you apply for the G.L (Guest Lecturer) they will pay salary Rs.15000/- also you are eligible for Government college and aided college (Permanent Post) but the problem is in College TRB total marks is 35. P.G/M.Phil with NET/SET = 6 marks, Ph.D means = 9 marks, Teaching experience per year 2 (max 15) marks, interview marks = 10. in this scenario you have to consult with your P.G college they will guide you properly. Any how you are done a good job passed SET in your P.G final year my suggestion after your P.G. try to join Guest Lecturer in any college. All the best friend.

Nobody file the case in the court so it's not possible my friend. I know it's very painful for you but no chance for supplimentary results. After two or three months next SET will be definitely come so study well and clear the exam.

Don't worry my friend its a life time reward. In future Ministry of Human Resource may be announce NET or SET is the first eligible criteria for lectureship so, you are cleared the SET in your P.G level with good cut-off marks. Complete your P.G. with good marks and try finish the M.Phil or join in Ph.D (3 Years) that is the best and strongest way to enter in the education field. Good luck and all the best

Please give the information as to when is the next set exam going to be held and the procedure. because once in 2012 oct i paid money and i could not send my application and there was a person in the office who said that they will refund the money back but nothing was done.

hi set 2012 after publication of results with revised answer key i was passed in paper I and Paper II but in my paper III of life science i got 74 marks.I applied for revaluation of paper III with refrence for a question and correct answer to the university...still i am waiting.Shall i get marks and get through in the examination...

I agree with you 100%. I couldn't understand that how come the experience gained before NET/SET/Ph.D is being considered as experience. For any job, unless the prescibed qualification is met, the experience what a person gains is invalid. Thought it looks rough/hard to digest, it is the fact. As per UGC's rule, a person should have NET/SET/Ph.d (after following Jul 2009 amendments) is eligible to teach in Colleges. A person without this qualification is hired due to some reason. That itself is illegal. How come they consider this as experience and add it with while calling for recruitment?
