Women's Cell in RTMNU Affiliated Collages 

NATIONAL Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) has issued guidelines through which it has been advised that every col lege should set up women cell. This is being done to prevent incidents like women harassment, molestation etc.
The Women Cell at Kamla Nehru Mahavidyalaya was inaugurated at the hands of Adv Ninnala Samant Prabhawalkar, former Mayor of Mumbai and member of National Women Commission. New Delhi. The function was presided over by President AmarSewaMandal. Dr Suhasini Wanjari along with Secretary of Amar Sewa Mandal Adv. Abhijit Wanjari and Principal of the College Dr A K Shende.
Adv Nirmala Samant Prabhawalkar said thai National Women Commission made a survey throughout the country and also took legal opinion in respect of the death penalty punishment for a crime against woman. The National Women Commission also send these proposals for changes in the present laws regarding crime against women including dowry to the central law ministry for their final consideration. She also suggested the college authorities that there are number of programmes and schemes which are sponsored by National Women Commission which can be conducted by NGO's and any other organisations.
