Maharashtra Government bans direct recruitment 2013 at Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC)
MAHARASHTRA Government has banned direct recruitment at Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) since establishment cost is beyond 51 per cent, said Municipal Commissioner. He said that Civic body had recruited backward class employees on the directions of the Maharashtra Government.
If State Government would again direct for recruitment then civic body will start drive.
Commissioner said, only 111 direct recruitment posts are vacant in the civic body. The process for removal of backlog in the promotion of backward class employees is going on. The promotion list of junior engineers and deputy engineers is ready.
Dayashankar Tiwari has demanded to pay arrears of sixth pay commission to NMC employees. He criticised NMC administration for not releasing arrears to the employees. Chief Account and Finance Officer Madan Gadge informed the house that many employees organisations have knocked the door of HC.
Pravin Bhisikar suggested for changing in criteria for recruitment of Assistant Commissioner belonging to ST Category. The civic body has failed to fill the post of Assistant Commissioner due to stringent condition. Commissioner has assured him to relax some condition for appoimment. Vikas Thakre was angry in the house as Administration has failed to give answers to his questions regarding Nagarjuna Company. He alleged that administration was trying to hide important information from him.
Pragati Patil also raised some important issues related to encroachments in the school premises in her ward.
