Exam Aims
To develop the ability to draw the shapes of objects neatly in pencil and colour.
To be able to handle water colour and / or pastels & other mediums.

Career Guidence
It helps to choose your career if you are opting to become an architect, an engineer, for animation, polytechnic, etc… The certificate which you get after appearing for the Elementary and Intermediate exams, helps you for the above entrance exams.
While drawing you learn various colour combinations & thus it helps you, when you study D.T.P., Corel draw, Photoshop while doing courses in computer.

About This Examinations
This exams are held in Maharashtra, Goa, Andhra-Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, U.P. & Delhi.
These exams started from 1880 fist time in Mumbai, Now approximately 2 lac. Students attempt this examination.
Students must fulfill the prescribed age limited i.e. 17 years for the elementary & 18 years for the intermediate Grade Exam.
All successful candidates are awarded Certificates with Cash Prizes.

महाराष्ट्र कला संचालनालयामार्फत घेण्यात येणार्‍या एलिमेंटरी आणि इंटरमिजिएट परीक्षेचे शुल्क निश्‍चित करण्यात आल्यानंतरही मुंबईतील अनेक शाळांमध्ये अधिक शुल्क आकारले जात असल्याचा खळबळजनक आरोप विद्यार्थी आणि पालकवर्गाकडून करण्यात आला आहे. यासंदर्भात तक्रार आल्यास चौकशी केली जाईल, अशी माहिती महाराष्ट्र राज्याच्या कला संचालनालयातर्फे देण्यात आली.

महाराष्ट्र राज्य सरकारच्या कला संचालनालयातर्फे दरवर्षी घेण्यात येणारी एलिमेंटरी परीक्षा २५ आणि २६ सप्टेंबर रोजी होणार असून, इंटरमिजिएट ग्रेड परीक्षा २७ आणि २९ सप्टेंबरला घेण्यात येणार आहे. यासाठी महाराष्ट्रातील विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी एलिमेंटरीसाठी ५0 रुपये व इंटरमिजिएटसाठी १00 रुपये तर महाराष्ट्राबाहेरील विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी अनुक्रमे १00 व २00 रुपये फी आकारणीचे आदेश देण्यात आले आहेत. यासंदर्भात १९ जून रोजी संबंधित सर्व शाळांना परीपत्रक पाठविण्यात आले आहे. दरवर्षी सुमारे ९00 सेंटरमधून ४ लाख विद्यार्थी ही परीक्षा देतात. दरम्यान, मुंबईतील अनेक शाळांमध्ये या परीक्षेसाठी शाळांकडून सुमारे ४00 ते ४५0 रुपयांची फी आकारली जात असल्याचा आरोप अनेक पालकांकडून करण्यात येत आहे. या फीसंदर्भात कोणतीही पावती शाळा प्रशासनाकडून देण्यात येत नसल्याचे सांगण्यात येत आहे. यासंदर्भात अनेक कला प्राध्यापकांनीच नाराजी व्यक्त केली असून, इतक्या मोठय़ा प्रमाणात फी आकारणी करणार्‍या शाळांवर कारवाई करण्यात यावी, अशी मागणी करण्यात येत आहे.
