State of Maharashtra implemented Right to education Act from 1st April
2010. State of Maharashtra defined professional and educational
qualifications and compulsory Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) according
to NCTE guidelines by Government Resolution dated 13th February 2013.
Procedure of conducting TET fixed by Government Resolution dated 23
August 2013 and responsibility of conducting examination is handed over

Eligibility for MAHATET Dec 2013 Please refer to Government of Maharashtra GR dated 13-Feb-2013
The following persons shall be eligible for appearing in the TET:
i. A person who has acquired the academic and professional qualifications specified in the Government of Maharashtra Resolution dated 13 Feb. 2013.
ii. A person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the appropriate authority, as the case may be) specified in the of Maharashtra Resolution dated 13 Feb. 2013.

- प्राथमिक स्तर ( पेपर एक I) इ. १ ली ते इ. ५ वी वर्गासाठी अध्यापन करु इच्छिणा-या शिक्षकांसाठी
- उच्च प्राथमिक स्तर (पेपर-दोन II) इ. ६ वी ते इ. ८ वी या वर्गासाठी अध्यापन करु इच्छिणा-या शिक्षकांसाठी
- प्राथमिक व उच्च प्राथमिक या दोन्ही स्तरारावर अध्यापन करु इच्छिमा-या शिक्षकांसाठी दोन्ही पेपर अनिवार्य असतील.

मधील “ब” व इतर शिक्षकांसाठी विषय क्र ४ मधील “अ” किंवा “ब” पैकी कोणताही
एक विषय निवडता येईल.

There will be two papers of the TET. Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V. Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII. A person who intends to be a teacher either for classes I to V or for classes VI to VIII will have to appear in both papers (Paper I and Paper II).

Sir I m working as an Assistant Teacher & my date of Appointment is 05/01/2010. Is it neccesary for me to give TET Exam?
