MSRTC develops simulators at Nagpur
MAHARASHTRA State Road Transport Corporation has developed two simulators at Nagpur and Buldana workshops, as part of its programme to impress upon drivers importance of a drop of diesel.
MSRTC has to pay a huge amount on ever-increasing prices of diesel and hence it has become important to use diesel cautiously. Therefore. it has developed two simulators from discarded materials at a cost of Rs 6000 only.
A driver can see with this simulator as to how diesel is used. It shows more diesel is consumed if a driver presses accelerator beyond 65 km per hour. This valuable commodity could be saved by avoiding unnecessary use of accelerator. About five liters of diesel could be saved in the driver make proper use of accelerator.
After giving demonstrations, drivers have now started releasing this aspect. MSRTC is now planning to develop such simulators in all ihe 30 divisional level offices and 248 bus depots in Maharashtra.
