Thousands of youths take part in Army recruitment Process At Amravati
THOUSANDS of youths aspiring Co become Armymen participated in the open Army Recruitment Drive on the first day on Wednesday. The drive started at Divisional Sport Complex for youths from 10 districts of Vidarblia except Bulduna.
The district-wise recruitment driven will take place till November 13. Recruitment for Ex-servicemen, wards of ex-scrvicemen and war widows. State and National Level ranking holder players and NCC 'B' and 'C certificate holders along with the youths from Washim District took place on the first day.
About 4.500 aspiring youths including about 500 wards of ex-servicemen and war widows, national and state-level rank holder players and NCC B' and 'C certificate holders while 4,000 from Washim District participated in the recruitment drive that started from Wednesday. According to the schedule for recruitment drive, officers and Army men first checked height of the aspiring youths. Those who passed the test had to undergo running of 1.6 kms. long jump and balance test and also height, weight and chest measurement before their documents being verified. All youths. who succeeded in these test will have to undergo medical and written test thatwill he held at Nagpur.
Written test will held at Nagpur on February 2. Running test of 60 marks while physical Illness lesi of 400 marks has been conducted in the drive. Written examination will be held of 100 marks. Youths, who have passed 10th and 12th (except MCVC) between the age of 17 and half year to 23 years, can participated in the recruitment drive. About 50.000 youths from Washim. Amravati. Nagpur. Yavatmal. Akola. Gadchiroli. Wardha. Bhandara. Chandrapurand Gondia are expected to participated in the recruitment drive. Five officers from Indian Army and about 90 army men have been deployed for conducting the recruitment drive. Colonel Krushna Kumar from Amry Recruitment Office. Nagpur informed that about 700-800 army-men are expected to be recruited for the drive. He expressed pleasure over response extended by youths on the first day of the drive. He also expressed gratitude towards District Administration. Commissioner of Police Office. Kuralkar. Police Inspector from Gadge nagar Police Station and NGOs for extending their support for conducting the drive.
Recruitment drive for youths from Amravati District will take place on November 7. While recruitment drive for aspiring youths from Bhandara and Gondia district would take place on Nov 8. Wardha and Gadchiroli on Nov 9. Chandrapur on Nov 10. Nagpur on Nov 11. Yavatmal on Nov 12 and Akola on Nov 13.
