Let us explain the changed scenario in detail:
How does it affect students | How to cope with this change |
---|---|
Concepts of both 11th & 12th | Preparation for JEE has to start from 11th std. |
Equal focus on Board Exams | In the case of JEE, 40% weightage is on board examinations marks. Hence, descriptive questions have gained a lot of importance. |
Shift in approach: from speed to clarity of concepts | You need to have deeper understanding of the concepts. Students need to focus on clarity of concepts more than speed of solving questions. |
Competition on a national level | As the competition has increased manifold, even a
single mark would make or break the chances of getting into a reputed
college. Hence lots of practice is needed to prepare students better to
face the competition on a national level. (In 2013, 12 lakhs students
appeared for JEE (Mains)) |
