Astronomical Events in 2014 Year
YEAR 2014 will prove lobe important for celestial events. Main celestial events will occur in this year. All the three planets Jupiter. Mars and Saturn will come close to the earth this year.
Jupiter, the biggest planet in our solar system will come close to the earth on 5 January 2014. Jupiter is a fatastic object to view especially around the time of opposition. Jupiter will reach opposition to the Sun on this day. Astronomy lovers will be able to see the planet Jupiter on eastern horizon with naked eyes immediately after the sunset. However, moons of this planet can be viewed through telescope only.
This planet has 63 moons. Out of these, four moons are seen through telescope.
The red color planet Mars which creates curiosity among human beings on the entire land will he close to the Earth on 8 April 2014 . On this day. Mars will reach opposition to the Sun. Astronomy lovers will be able to see this planet Mars on eastern horizon with naked eyes immediately after the sunset. Averagely after 26 months, the planet Mars come close to the Earth. Mars has two moons.
Saturn, the planet having fascinating rings, will come close to the Earth on 10 May 2014. Saturn will reach opposition to the Sun on this day. On May 10, the distance of the planet Saturn from the Earth will be approximately 133.10 crore kms. Saturn will be visible on eastern horizon immediately alter sun set. This blackish and yellowish colour planet will took brilliant, due to which it can be easily identified.
However, famous ring of this planet will not be visible if seen with open eyes only. For this, telescope of three inch size or bigger is needed. Saturn has 60 moons. Its largest moon is Titan.
