Deepika Padukone, Farhan Akhtar bag 20th Screen best actor awards
ACTRESS Deepika Padukone. who gave the industry four blockbusters last year, was awarded the Best Actress while Farhan Akhtar walked away with ihe Best Actor for his power packed performance in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' at die 20th Screen Awards.
Deepika bagged two honours-the Best Actor award (female) for'Ram-Leela" and the most popular choice award (female) for 'Chennai Express*-- at the ceremony here last night.
She began the year with 'Race 2' and followed it up with 'Yen Jawaani Hai Deewani". 'Chennai Express' and 'Ram-Leela'. all of which raked in box-office success entering Rs 100-crore club. While the Most Popular Choice Award (male) was handed over lo Shah Rukh Khan for 'Chennai Express'.
Megastar Amiiabh Bachchan was given Ihe Lifetime Achievement award. The special jury award went to director Anand Gandhi for "Ship Of Theseus'. The Ram Nath Goenka Memorial award went to John Abraham's 'Madras Cafe'.
Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor of 'Aashiqui 2' were given as the Bes! onscreen Jodi of ihe Year.
The Best Film Award weni lo "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' and Shoojii Sircar won the Best Director Award for "Madras Cafe".
