Applications are invited from the citizens of India as defined in Article 5 and 6 of the Constitution of India for filling up the post of Stenographer Grade -I/Private Secretary and Stenographer Grade - II in the High Court of Manipur

Duly signed application in the prescribed format at Annexure -A which may be downloaded from the Official website http://hcmimphal.nic.in should be submitted either by post or in person to the Registrar General, High Court of Manipur. lmphal, Mantripukhri- 795002 alongwith Banker's Cheque/Demand Draft drawn from a Nationalised Bank (payable at Imphal) for Rs. 500/- (Rs. 300/- in case of SC & ST) in favour of the Registrar, High Court of Manipur on or before 25th January, 2014 and those applications sent through postal service should reach on or before 30"' January, 2014.

On re-organization of the North-Eastern region by the North Eastern Area (Re-organization) Act, 1971, a common High Court was established for the five North-Eastern States namely; Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura and the two Union Territories namely Union Territory of Mizoram and the Union Territory of Arunachal Pradesh and called as the Gauhati High Court. Thereafter, when Manipur attained Statehood, Imphal Bench of the Gauhati High Court came into existence on Friday, the 21st day of January 1972.
