CESCOM Recruitment 2014 Assistant Lineman (187 Posts)

CESC hereby issues Corrigendum to the above Notification, inviting application; from the following two categories of applicants for recruitment of 187 Nos o Assistant Lineman.

1) "MALE & FEMALE CANDIDATES" who possess ITC Certificate (3 years course, conducted by the Industrial Training Centre of KEB/KPTCL).

2) Only from "FEMALE" Candidates who possess 2 years ITI Certificate Applications in the prescribed format can be submitted only through Online portal. For further details in respect of Composition of Posts, Age, Qualification etc., please visit CESC website www.cescmysore.org. On or after 15/3/2014. Last Date for submission of application 15/04/2014, 5pm 1ST.

NOTE:

The MALE Candidates who have already applied under above notification need not apply again and their submitted applications will be considered in the recruitment process.

i} Assistant Lineman – for ITI Candidates

Total Posts – 117 Posts {UR – 58 ; SC – 18 ; ST – 04 ; CAT I – 05 ; CAT IIA – 17 ; CAT IIB – 05 ; CA IIIA – 05 ; CAT IIIB – 05}

Qualification : Should have a pass certificate of 18/24 months course in “Electrician/Electronics/ Electronic Mechanic” trade from Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) recognized by Government of Karnataka.

ii] Assistant Lineman – for Diploma / ITC Candidates

Total Posts – 70 Posts [UR – 35 ; SC – 10 ; ST – 02 ; CAT I – 03 ; CAT IIA – 11 ; CAT IIB – 03 ; CA IIIA – 02 ; CAT IIIB – 04]

Qualification : Should have passed 10 Standard Examination and should have a pass certificate of THREE YEARS “Lineman trade”/ “Electrician trade” (ITC) imparted by the Industrial Training Institutes of KEB/KPTCL.

Note : Knowledge of Kannada is mandatory for the above Posts

Age Limit : 18 – 35 years ; Relaxations as per Government Rules

Selection Process : Candidates would be selected on the basis of written test ; There won’t be any Personal Interview. However, qualified candidates would be shortlisted and called for a physical Endurance Test.

Application fee :

Rs.200/- for SC/ST Candidates ;
Rs.400/- For all other Category Candidates.

After applying online , the candidates should obtain the Bank Challan generated Online and pay the requisite application fee along with applicable bank charges in any of the branches of State Bank of Mysore.

How to Apply : Candidates are required to apply online. After successful registration online and making fee payment, candidates are advised to take a print out and save it for future reference. Candidates however, are not required to send the print out or any other documents/ certificates by post at this stage.
