KCSE results out
Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec) said the date has been pushed to March 3. This is a day earlier from what had been communicated last week. “After thorough consultations, we have decided to release the examination results earlier because of some circumstances that we cannot avoid,” said Knec Chief Executive Paul Wasanga. The council had announced last week that the examinations would be released March 4.
This now means that some 844,530 candidates, including 906 candidates from Nuba Mountains in Sudan, who sat the examinations, will know their results Monday. Education Cabinet Secretary Jacob Kaimenyi will release the results at Mtihani House in Nairobi. The announcement came as the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) assured candidates that they will get the courses they applied to study at the university. KUCCPS replaced the Joint Admissions Board with the enforcement of the Universities Act 2012. KUCCPS Chairman Prof Musyimi Ndetei said there should be no cause for alarm for candidates whose results will be released next week.
