Vidarbha Region 60,000 names missing from electoral rolls

CONGRESS candidate Vilas Muttemwar has lodged a complain! with Election Commission of India (ECI) regarding names of around 60.000 voters missing from electoral rolls.
A delegation led by Muttemwar and comprising MLA Dinanath Padole, Congress city chief Vikas Thakre. and General Secretary of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) Marotrao Kumbhaikar met Deputy Collector Nishikani Sukey in this regard. Mutiemwar lodged a complain! with ECL.

According to a release issued by Kumbhalkar. thousands of voters in the city were deprived of iheir right to vote as their names were missing from electoral rolls. Many had the elector's photo identity cards issued by ECI but their names were not in the voters' list. Some old voters' names were deleted from the list for no reason, he alleged. The local administration made available supplementary voters* lists to political parties only three days prior 10 polling.
