341 posts in State's jails to be filled up thru VYAPAM

MORE than 400 posts al the Slate's central and district jails are lying vacant for the last many years and the Jail Department could not fill up the vacant posts because of no permission from Finance Department. But now, the Finance Department has also permitted to fill up at least 341 posts in different cadres, most posts are of Prahris. Among 341 posts. 150 are of Prahri posts, 125 . trainers. 54 pharmacists, assistant teacher 13 male nurse 15 posts.

According to sources, earlier, the Finance Department had rejected proposal of recruitment on vacant posts at jails but later when the Jail Department has strongly recommended and termed exigency of filling up vacancies, the finance department agreed to do so. The Jail Department has sent vacancies to MP Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) to conduct examinations for the same. The examinations were to be conducted in April but due to Lok Sabha elections model code of conduct, the VYAPAM has postponed advertisements and conducting examinations till last week of June. Senior officer in Jail Department said that there will be no hurdle now in filling up the vacant posts as the Government has already sanctioned budget to these posts. The vacancies will be increased with retirement of the employees in coming two years, it is the reason why the department is eager to gel 341 posts filled up this time.

When contacted. Suhel Ahmad. DIG. Jail, the Government has already permitted department to fill up 341 vacant posts in different cadres. All these posts to be filled up after model code of conduct in May through VYAPAM.
