67-Year-OId Congress leader Digvijay Singh on Wednesday look to Twiner 10 announce his relationship witl a woman journalist and plans about marrying her after the social media went viral about it.

"I have no hesitation in accepting my relationship with Amrita Rai. She and her husband have already filed a mutual consent divorce case. Once that is decided we would formalities it." the former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh tweeted. "But I do condemn encroachment in our private life," the Congress General Secretary added after media reports about their relationship appeared.

Singh's wife Asha passed away last year after prolonged illness. He has four daughters and a son from his marriage. Rai, said 10 be in her early 40s. also tweeted that she will many Singh after divorce with her husband. "I have separated from my husband and we have filed a mutual consentdivorce papers. After which I have decided to marry with Digvijaya Singh." she tweeted. Rai alleged that her e-mail account and computer were hacked,

"My e-mail/computer (have) been hacked & contents tampered with. It is a serious crime in India & encroachment of my privacy. I strongly condemn it." she said in her tweet. Congress General Secretary Shakeel was asked about the issue at the party's media briefing but he said he was not aware of it.

BJP on the other hand, raised the question of morality and legality and asked Congress leadership to take cognizance. Digvijay had got into a mud-slinging match with the BJP over Narendra Modi's marital status questioning the credentials of a man who abandoned his own wife, all the while himself having an extramarital affair with a younger woman.

Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh who is known for attacking on others' private life seems to have been got caught in the web of romance woven by him. Though the Congress has so far not commented on the love affair, party's spokesman Shakeel Ahmed said that he was unaware of the development. Though Congress leaders may not be aware of the fact, Digvijay Singh himself has admitted to the reported love affair via a tweet. He tweeted, "I have no hesitation in admitting my relationship with Amruta Rai". Digvijay may have admitted his relationship, but soon he attracted snide remarks, sarcastic comments and became a butt of standing jokes online.

Soon the web world generated pictures of Amruta and Digvijay Singh snuggling up to each other. This news spread like wildfire and reached Sonia Gandhi. According to sources, he was sent a message in view of the ongoing elections to explain his side. The Congress fears that the Opposition might seize the opportunity to sharpen attack on the party. Surrounded from all sides, Singh was left with no option but to admit to his ongoing love affair via tweet.

Actually, Amruta is a journalist by profession and she is seeking divorce from her husband. Digvijay Singh is waiting for the formal divorce of Amruta from her husband so that he is free to tie nuptial knots with her.

Digvijay who lost his wife a year back has tweeted that he is planning to marry again. In his own words, Digvijay Singh said, " Amruta and her husband have decided to go for divorce, once the divorce is finalised, we will make a public announcement. Even his ladylove seems to be equally intent on marrying him because after the news broke out, Amruta tweeted that after her divorce, she would marry Digvijay. After the confessions from both the sides, many jokes were generated and circulated in the cyber world as well as in public domain.
