Navegaon gate of TATR to open for tourists soon in August 2014
THE internal road from Navcgaon gate 10 Tadoba in Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) would be opened for tourists in a couple of days, following permission from Sarjan Bhagat. Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Wildlife). Nagpur. At present, tourists can get entry only from Moharli gale upto Tadoba in view of monsoon.
A proposal in this regard was submitted by G P Garad. Chief Conservator of Forest and Field Director. TATR. Chandrapur. to Bhagat recently. Bhagat granted permission on Tuesday for opening the road from Navegaon to Tadoba in the partial) opened TATR during monsoon.
At present, tourists can go from Moharli entry point to Tadoba via Khatoda. a distance of 20 km on tar road for enjoying jungle safari. The officials have allowed 20 vehicles to enter in the park during morning and evening hours plus one Canter minibus, which makes two trips a day. Tourists have 10 directly go 10 Moharli to make booking for jungle safari as online booking is closed down during monsoon.
