Online Application Registration for MahaTET-2014 examination will start from : 01.10.2014 at 11.00 am

Government of India has enacted ‘The Right of Children to free and compulsory primary education (std.1 to 8) Act 2009’ for the age group 6 to 14. Act of free & compulsory education is implemented in the State of Maharashtra since 1st April 2010.

Central Government declared National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) as Educational Authority to define / finalize eligibility and service conditions for the appointment as primary Teacher. Accordingly NCTE declared educational & professional qualifications and compulsory teacher Eligibly test for the appointment as primary teacher.

State of Maharashtra implemented Right to education Act from 1st April 2010. State of Maharashtra defined professional and educational qualifications and compulsory Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) according to NCTE guidelines by Government Resolution dated 13th February 2013. Procedure of conducting TET fixed by Government Resolution dated 23 August 2013 and responsibility of conducting examination is handed over to the Maharashtra State Council of Examinations, Pune.

महाराष्ट्र राज्य माध्यमिक व उच्च माध्यमिक शिक्षण मंडळाच्या नऊ विभागीय मंडळांमार्फत घेतली जाणारी इयत्ता दहावी, बारावीची परीक्षा शुक्रवारपासून सुरू होत आहे. राज्यातील १ लाख ३७ हजार ९0२ विद्यार्थ्यांनी दहावी तर ९५ हजार ८३२ विद्यार्थ्यांनी बारावीच्या परीक्षेसाठी अर्ज भरले आहे.

राज्य शिक्षण मंडळाच्या पुणे, नागपूर, औरंगाबाद, मुंबई, कोल्हापूर ,अमरावती, नाशिक, लातूर व कोकण या नऊ विभागीय मंडळांमार्फत ही परीक्षा घेतली जात आहे. दहावीची परीक्षा २६ सप्टेंबर ते ११ ऑक्टोबर आणि बारावीची परीक्षा २६ सप्टेंबर ते २0 ऑक्टोबर या कालावधीत होणार आहे. भाषा विषयांसाठी २0 गुणांची तोंडी परीक्षा व ८0 गुणाची लेखी परीक्षा असेल.पर्यावरण हा विषय अनिवार्य असून त्याची परीक्षा शाळा व महाविद्यालय स्तरावर घेतली जाणार आहे. दहावीच्या विद्यार्थ्यांची इंग्रजी (प्रथम भाषा) आणि इंग्रजी (द्वितीय व तृतीय भाषा) या विषयांची परीक्षा एकाच दिवशी एकाच सत्रामध्ये ठेवण्यात आली आहे.

श्रेणीसुधार योजनेंर्तगत (क्लास इम्प्रुमेंट स्कीम) प्रविष्ट होणार्‍या विद्यार्थ्यांनी पूर्वी प्रविष्ट झालेल्या सर्व विषयांची लेखी परीक्षा द्यावयाची असून तोंडी व प्रात्यक्षिक परीक्षा नव्याने देणे बंधनकारक आहे.

This Liquid Engines firing operation which began at 07:17:32 Hrs IST lasted for 1388.67 seconds which changed the velocity of the spacecraft by 1099 metre/sec. With this operation, the spacecraft entered into an elliptical orbit around Mars. Honourable Prime Minister of India, Mr Narendra Modi, was present at ISRO's Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) in Bangalore to witness this important event. Other dignitaries who were present at ISTRAC include His Excellency Governor of Karnataka, Mr Vajubhai R Vala, Hon'ble Minister of Railways, Mr D V Sadananda Gowda, Hon'ble Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Mr Ananth Kumar, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, Mr Siddaramaiah, Hon'ble Minister of State (Space), Dr Jitendra Singh, Hon'ble Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Mr G M Siddeswara, Hon'ble Member of Parliament, Mr Prahlad V Joshi, Hon'ble Minister of Transport, Government of Karnataka, Mr Ramalinga Reddy and Hon'ble Member of Legislative Assembly, Government of Karnataka, Mr Muniraju S. Prof U R Rao, former chairman, ISRO and Prof Yash Pal, former director, Space Applications Centre, were also present.

The events related to Mars Orbit Insertion progressed satisfactorily and the spacecraft performance was normal. The Spacecraft is now circling Mars in an orbit whose nearest point to Mars (periapsis) is at 421.7 km and farthest point (apoapsis) at 76,993.6 km. The inclination of orbit with respect to the equatorial plane of Mars is 150 degree, as intended. In this orbit, the spacecraft takes 72 hours 51 minutes 51 seconds to go round the Mars once.

Mars Orbiter Spacecraft was launched on-board India's workhorse launch vehicle PSLV on November 05, 2013 into a parking orbit around the Earth. On December 01, 2013, following Trans Mars Injection (TMI) manoeuvre, the spacecraft escaped from orbiting the earth and followed a path that would allow it to encounter Mars on September 24, 2014.

With today's successful Mars Orbit Insertion operation, ISRO has become the fourth space agency to successfully send a spacecraft to Mars orbit. In the coming weeks, the spacecraft will be thoroughly tested in the Mars orbit and the systematic observation of that planet using its five scientific instruments would begin.
