Mumbai University Ph.D. Entrance PET 2014 Details, Apply

Mumbai University (MU) has issued guidelines for the Ph.D. entrance test (PET), outlining new norms that have been implemented this year onward. As per the new norms, Ph.D. aspirants pursuing a Masters' degree will also be eligible for the PET from next year.

A circular issued by Dinesh Bhonde, Controller of Examinations, said that the application process was no different from previous years, the only difference being aspirants would be able to apply online for the PET. "From this year, students pursuing a Masters' degree and in the fourth semester of the CBGS pattern or second year of the old course will be able to apply online for the PET," said Mr Bhonde.

He said that as PET was mandatory for those wanting to pursue a Ph.D. Students in the final semester of their Masters' degree were being permitted to apply for the PET.
