Maharashtra e-governance in Revenue Department 2015
MAHARASHTRA became the first State to implement e-governance in the Revenue Department, thus helping citizens find and search the title for property within minutes, according to state Settlement and Land Records Commissioner Chandrakant Dalvi. Talking to UNI here on Monday Dalvi said, “e-governance formula was decided for our department in order to generate more revenue for the State Government, and to help citizens visiting our office get their work done without any hindrance.”
Dalvi, who has also served as a top official in various State Governments, further said that the department has records of various lands dating back 100 years, thus preserving their history.
