AIPVT Entrance Exam 2015 Details Application Form
ALL INDIA PRE-VETERINARY TEST-2015 FOR ADMISSION TO 1st YEAR of B.V.Sc. & A.H. COURSE
Online applications are invited from Indian Nationals for All India Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT)-2015 to be conducted by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) for filling up 15% of All India Quota seats in Veterinary Colleges in India (except from the State of Jammu & Kashmir).
IPVT - Admission to 1st Year of B.V.Sc and A.H. Course 2015
Online applications are invited from Indian Nationals for All India Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT)-2015 to be conducted by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) for filling up 15% of All India Quota Seats in Veterinary Colleges in India (except from the State of Jammu & Kashmir) for admission to 1st year of B.V.Sc & A.H. Course for academic session 2015-16
Students from the State of Jammu
& Kashmir are not eligible to appear in this test, as that State
has not adopted the provisions of the Indian Veterinary Council Act,
1984 in the State of Jammu and Kashmir
Duration of Course: The duration of B.V.Sc & A.H degree course is spread over 5 years including a compulsory rotating internship of six months
No. of Seats: 300 (tentative)
AIPVT 2015 Eligibility Criteria:
i) The candidates should be Indian Nationals (except from the State of Jammu & Kashmir)
ii) He/She has attained or will attain the age of 17 years as on 31st December 2015. Candidates attaining 17th years on 01st of January 2016 or later will not be eligible to appear at the AIPVT
The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission under 15% All India Quota Seats is 25 years as on 1st December 2015
Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the Candidates of SC/ST/ OBC
iii) Candidate must have passed any of the following qualifying examinations:
AIPVT 2015 Qualifying Examinations:
The Higher/Senior Secondary
Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination equivalent to
10+2 Higher / Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years
of study, the last two years of study with Physics, Chemistry, Biology
and any other elective subject with English at a level not less than
the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council for
Educational Research and Training after the introduction of the 10+2+3
(years) educational structure as recommended by the National Committee
on Education (or)
The Intermediate Examination in
Science from a recognized University / Board with Physics, Chemistry
and Biology (which shall include a practical test in these subjects)
and English as a core course
a) He/She has passed the qualifying
exam with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as
core course or an examination equivalent to intermediate Science
examination of an Indian University/Board recognised by the Association
of Indian Universities taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology including
a practical test in each of these subjects and English
b) A candidate under General Category for admission to the B.V.Sc & A.H.
degree course must have passed in each of these subjects of English,
Physics, Chemistry and Biology, and obtained 50% marks in aggregate of
these subjects, at the qualifying exam; admission of students to B.V.Sc
& A.H. degree course shall be made only on the basis of his/ her
merit in the competitive entrance examination
No other merit / weightage shall be considered for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course
c) In respect of candidates
belonging to the SC/ST or other special category of students as
specified by the Govt from time to time, marks required for admission
shall be 10% less than that prescribed for general category
Where the seats reserved for the SC/ST students in
any State cannot be filled for want of requisite number of candidates
fulfilling the minimum requirement prescribed by the State, then such
vacancies shall be filled up on All India basis with students belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes getting not less than the minimum prescribed pass percentage
Physical Disability:
A candidate shall not be allowed admission to B.V.Sc & A.H. degree course including those admitted under 15% received quota of VCI if he/she suffer disabilities in physical fitness as Listed below:
a) Disability of total body including disability of chest/spine more than 50%
b) Disability of lower limb of more than 50%
c) Disability of upper limb
d) Visually handicapped candidates and those with hearing disability,
e) Candidates with progressive diseases like myopathies etc.
f) Disabilities which otherwise would interfere in the performance of duties of a veterinarian
Note:
i) Students from the State of
Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible to appear in this test, as the
State has not adopted the provisions of the Indian Veterinary Council
Act 1984 in the State of Jammu & Kashmir
ii) A candidate who is taking the qualifying exam prior to the AIPVT
or whose result is awaited, may also apply and take the
examination but he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the
B.V.Sc & AH programme, if he/she does not pass the qualifying exam
with the required percentage of marks as per the Minimum Standard of
Veterinary Education - Degree Course (B.V.Sc & A.H.) Regulations,
2008 on or before 30th June 2015 and submit the documentary proof during counselling, if selected
Reservation of Seats and Admission in Veterinary Colleges:
An All India merit list of the
qualified candidates shall be prepared on the basis of the marks
obtained in the AIPVT-2015 and candidates shall be admitted to seats
under 15% All India Quota from the said list only as per the
reservation policy
AIPVT 2015 Exam of Pattern:
a) The AIPVT-2015 Examination shall consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology)
b) Question Paper shall be in English and Hindi
Date, Time and Venue of Exam: Saturday, the 20th June 2015 (time 02.00 pm to 05.00 pm) at the centres (cities) given in the Information Bulletin
How to Apply for AIPVT 2015
Candidates can apply only online
Online submission of application may be made by accessing the website www.aipvt.vci.nic.in
The duration of submission of application of
application form with requisite fee is given is Schedule /Fee Details
Online Application Form cannot be withdrawn once it is submitted successfully
The Candidate is NOT required to submit printout of the Confirmation Page to the VCI
Steps to be followed to Apply Online:
Step 1: Download the Information Bulletin and read it carefully to ensure your eligibility to appear at the examination
Step 2: Read the instructions for
applying online given in the Information Bulletin and keep entire
information ready including scanned images of Photograph, Signature,
thumb impression and self-declaration (in the case of candidates
belonging to J&K) in JPG format only
Step 3: Fill the Online
Application Form and upload Scanned Images of Photograph, Signature,
thumb impression and self-declaration (setf-dedaration is required in
the case of candidates belonging to J&K only)
Step 4: Pay Examination Fee by Debit/ Credit card or e-Challan
Step 5: Download the Confirmation
Page and keep the same in safe custody along with proof of remittance
of fees for future reference and records
Note: While
submitting the online application form, the candidate is required to
mention only his/her own or parent's mobile number (only one mobile no.
and one Email ID are valid for one application) as all
information/communication will be sent by the VCI on registered mobile
number and e-mail ID
Fees Details and Mode of Submission:
- For General / OBC: Rs.1500/-
- ForSC/ST/PH: Rs.750/-
Service/ Processing charges & service Taxes is to be paid by the candidate, as applicable
i) Candidates may remit the examination fee in the following manner
a) Through any Debit/Credit Card using online payment gateway facility
b) Through e-challan by depositing fee in the VCI
account in any of the branches of Vijaya Bank/State Bank of India
ii) Candidate may keep the copy of the e-challan
(candidate’s copy) with him/her as proof /record of remitance of fee in
case of payment through e-challan and transaction slip as proof of
payment in case of payment through Debit/Credit Card
iii) No fee will be accepted by te VCI in any other
mode i.e. Demand Draft /Cheque / Cash/IPO/Money Order etc
iv) No request for refund of fee once remitted by
the candidate will entertained by the VCI under any circumstances
however, there is a provision for Auto refund of duplicate/excess
payment

AIPVT 2015 DATES
- Online Submission of Application Form: 15th April 2015 to 14th May 2015 (upto 11.59 pm)
- Last date for successful final transaction of fee applicable for online application registered on or before 14th May 2015: By 16th May 2015 (upto working hours of the banks)
- Downloading / Printing of Admit Cards from Council’s Website: 29th May 2015
- Date of Examination: 20th June 2015
- Declaration of Result on Council’s Website: By 1st week of July 2015
